According to Financial Times, EU Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier is open to extend Britain’s Brexit transition by another year.  The news came late  Tuesday night, before the Brexit summit in Brussels on Wednesday.

One of the key issues have been the border in Northern Ireland and this would mean that there would be no custom borders.

The European Commission has offered Britain to remain in the EU customs union and internal market until the end of December 2020, German Newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung reported by Reuters.

In the financial markets, the UK sterling gained 0,4 percent to 1,32 US-dollars and 0,3 percent to euro. Ten-year gilt yields rose one basis point to 1,62, Bloomberg reported.

The Wall Street gained today – Nasdaq +2,89 %, Dow Jones +2,17% and S&P 500+2,15%- lead by technology stocks and good earnings from Goldman Sachs.
